I love cooking in my new kitchen. Normally the kitchen would be the womans deal but not so in our house. Its all mine. The 36" Wolf with infrared grill and 1250 cfm stainless exhaust hood is my most favorite things in the whole house.

There is probably no one that doesn't know we have been building, our dream home for the last year. We acted as the general contractor which basically saved us enough money to build a home that we could never have afforded to buy outright. People told us that it was going to be about the hardest thing we have ever done and they were pretty much right on the money. The year was hell and I am sure it took a few years off my life. Was it worth it, absolutely. I would recommend that everyone do it. These days with house prices so high, how else can you get the house you want at a price you can afford. The house still isn't 100% done. We are in it but there is a list a mile long of things I need to finish. The list is getting shorter but slowly.

Day one.
Hi, I'm Cary, that's me over there > and this is my first blog. I really have no idea what I am doing. I am not into blogs. I don't read them, I don't get all the "to do" about them. But... My brother Thayne is on here somewhere with pictures of his new child Kenneth which spurred on some curiosity. He had about a million (or so) pictures on his blog. I guess its pretty cool that you can put pictures on here so I will play with it some. If nothing else its a way to show people my newest dumb picture of whatever. So lets get right into this picture posting thing... Cool that worked. Its a picture of me looking all serious. It was the start of what was to be a mediocre day of fishing. By the look on my face I think I knew it.
Well ok. I think I may need to put some thought into this and post something that people would actually want to look at from time to time. Hold that thought.
